TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Before choosing to book an accommodation through BALIROMA,
kindly read the following terms and conditions carefully.
Contract Agreement
BALIROMA acts merely as a booking agent between the owners of each individual property listed on this website and our clients. The contract agreement is between the owner of the property and the client. The contract is not effective until all necessary payments have been received by BALIROMA and confirmation with reference number has been sent to the client.
BALIROMA's responsibility is to ensure that the client is satisfied with their chosen accommodation and will act as a go-between for service related issues and/or when relevant communication between client and owner is difficult or unfeasible.
BALIROMA endeavors to ensure that everything in the properties we situate our clients in meets the described standards. We strive to make sure that all our clients are happy with the accommodation and the services provided.
Passport
All visitors must hold a passport valid for at least another six months after their arrival date in Indonesia. Please check the date of expiry of your passport carefully. All visitors must have a visa to enter Indonesia; please refer to www.indo.com/tplan/visa.html to check which kind of visa you need.
Registration with Indonesian Authorities
Indonesian law requires the registration of all the guests with the Police Department within 24 hours from arrival at the property. Please bring a photocopy of each guest's passport with you; the property staff will take care and make the registration.
Bali Accommodation Seasons
Different rates will apply depending on the season for which you may reserve accommodation. Most properties in Bali use the dates as outlined below for low, peak and high seasons to calculate the rates. Some properties vary their seasons slightly; you can check the seasonal dates on the information page for the property you are interested in or you will automatically see it on the inquiry page.
Low Season: 11th January 2010 – 30th June 2010 (Except Easter Week and Chinese New Year) and 16th September 2010 - 19th December 2010.
High Season: Chinese New Year (3rd Feb 2011), Easter Week (18th April 2011 – 24th April 2011), 1st July – 31st July 2010, 1st September - 15th September 2010.
Peak Season: 20th December 2010 - 10th January 2011.
Minimum Stay
Every property has its own policy about the minimum stay, and some do not require a minimum stay. You can find out the details on the information page of each villa and it is also displayed while you are making the inquiry.
Rates
All rates are quoted in US Dollars and subject to change without prior notice.
Payment

Changing Reservation Dates

Tax and Service Charge
All rental rates are inclusive of 10% government tax and 5% service charge. Gratuities for house hold staff is appreciated and left to the guest's discretion.
Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required; if so, this is payable at check-in at the property for any eventual damage or breakage that may occur during your stay.
The amount required varies according to the property; it is clearly shown on the property page and on the booking confirmation with reference number.
The security deposit is payable in cash on arrival in IDR, USD or EURO. The security deposit will be refunded upon check-out, unless it has to be used in part or in full for any damage occurred.
Client's Responsibilities
If the accommodation and/or any of its contents are damaged by the client or his/hers guests, the client will be held responsible for the damage. Clients are not allowed to exceed the number of guests specified in the reservation form, unless an agreement has been reached with the owner prior to the guests' arrival.
Clients are kindly asked to pay maximum attention to their keys; the door locks are in some cases quite sophisticated and hard to repair. In case of loss, the client will be asked to pay for all expenses on the day of check-out.
Clients are responsible for leaving the property and its contents in good order and in clean condition. The client will be charged for any damages or losses incurred during occupation. The owner reserves the right to repossess the property if clients or any member of the client's party causes excessive damage or nuisance, or engages in any unlawful activity.
Check-in & Check-out Times
Unless otherwise stated, standard check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and standard check-out time is 12:00 noon. If it can be arranged, you may check in and check out at a time that is more convenient for you. Kindly inform us by e-mail at the time of booking. Generally, late check-out is subject to availability of the property.
Maintenance
The owner reserves the right to access the property if urgent maintenance problems occur.
Waiver of Liability
While BALIROMA makes every effort to ensure that property descriptions are accurate and properties meet the required standards, BALIROMA cannot accept responsibility for any modifications made to the property or its amenities which are beyond our control or knowledge.
BALIROMA will not be liable to the client or any other occupant or guest on the property, or while engaged in any other extra activities provided by BALIROMA, for personal safety, for any injury, including death, sickness, loss, damage, additional expense or inconvenience directly or indirectly caused by or arising out of the use or condition of the property and its appearances, or the failure of any machinery or equipment, plumbing, gas, electrical or otherwise, any weather conditions, fire, floods, earthquakes, civil disturbances, acts of god, acts of any government, late arrival of transport and flights, or owner's negligence.
BALIROMA will not be responsible in any way for the client's personal belongings, car and its contents. Most properties have a safe box and the staff will show you where it is and how to operate it.
Rent or any other services partially used are not eligible for refund. In the event of a problem with the facilities which is beyond the control of BALIROMA, we will at all times and in good faith endeavor to substitute and/or provide alternative comparable services and accommodations of a type chosen by the client at the time of booking.
If you have children in your party, it would be good to tour the property at arrival to anticipate any areas which could be potentially dangerous, and any items belonging to the property which could be damaged by children. Feel free to ask the staff to remove items to storage that might fall into this category. The guest must take all necessary precautions for the use of the property facilities such as swimming pools and swings, especially concerning children using these facilities. The client agrees not to hold BALIROMA responsible if accidents happen to clients and their family and friends while using the facilities at the property.
Numbers in Party and Suitability
The number of guests occupying a property must not exceed the maximum number stated in the booking confirmation without prior notice by e-mail to BALIROMA.
BALIROMA and/or the owner of the property reserve the right to refuse any reservation which is considered unsuitable for the property concerned.
It must be respected that you cannot hold large parties at any of the properties without prior arrangements. A license from the local authorities is needed for such events and this will incur an extra fee. All properties offered by us have rules governing their usage for events and parties; at times a surcharge of up to an equivalent of a night's rental cost plus a local community or ‘Banjar' fee is applicable. Normal bookings are for vacation purposes only and special permission must be obtained for functions where the number of people in attendance exceeds the capacity of the villa. The clients are asked to be aware that these are private properties located in residential neighborhoods, and as such, not all functions or events can necessarily be accommodated. Weddings and other events held in Bali are becoming increasingly popular. Please be aware that the majority of the property owners will not accept a booking involving a function without prior confirmation that a function coordinator has also been employed.
If you intend to bring pets, please be aware that there are strict regulations for 'importing' pets into Indonesia. They have to go on quarantine, so we suggest that if you come for holiday you live them at home. If you live in Bali and have pets, please notify us when you make your inquiry about book the villa; each villa has their own policy regarding pets. Failure to notify us may result in problems with the property owners and BALIROMA cannot be held responsible for any action carried out by the property owners.
Insurance
Please check your health insurance before your departure from home to make sure you are covered. We recommend that you take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy to protect you and all those that are accompanying you for the full time of your visit against illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, cancellations and other travel contingencies. We also recommend a health insurance that covers medical evacuation for emergencies.
Privacy Policy
Your personal information will be kept confidential. According to the following law, the handling of your information will be based upon principles of correctness, transparency and protection of your privacy and your rights, according to the Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
Anti-Discrimination Statement
BALIROMA supports the Anti-Discrimination Directives of the European Union. The objective of this Directive is to effectively stop discrimination. Therefore, any type of discrimination based on ethnicity, sexual identity, religion or ideology, disability or age is not permitted on www.baliroma.com. We kindly ask our property owners and clients to respect this policy.
Complaints
In the rare event that the client considers that there is cause for complaint concerning a property, the matter should be taken up first with the property owner or villa manager. If satisfaction cannot be obtained, the client should then report the matter at once to our contact in Bali. In such cases, a partial refund may be offered if we consider the complaint valid. This will have to be discussed and approved by the property owner and may take several weeks to finalize. No liability shall arise beyond the refund of the money paid. BALIROMA will not entertain claims lodged by a client upon departure or after returning home, when it is no longer possible to investigate the complaint effectively.
